Motel Mirrors Featuring Amy LaVere and John Paul Keith

artist-23439.jpg

A charming, eclectic side project from three of Memphis' best indie artists, Motel Mirrors features classic country and Americana covers and rootsy original music that pays tribute to the golden age of male-female duets. Think George & Tammy, Conway & Loretta, Porter & Dolly. The music is retro awesome, the harmonies soar, and your tears will fall into your beers.

“A throwback to honky tonk/rockabilly but without irony or camp. Performed in a straight-ahead manner that is like sipping something cool.”

Recently featured at Montreal Jazz Festival, Beale Street’s latest success story, 4-time 2016 Independent Blues Award Nominee and International Blues Challenge Runner-up is Ghost Town Blues Band. Not your grandpa’s blues band, their live show has been captivating audiences in the U.S. and Canada with a second-line horn entrance, cigar box guitars and electric push brooms to Allman Brothers style jams and even a hip-hop trombone player.

“Ghost Town Blues Band shows what can happen when the past is distilled through young sensibilities, voices, and instruments. This is 21st century blues at its best.”
